Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains cancellations and refunds for Yoata’s quote-based services. It should be read with our Terms of Service. Our services are provided to businesses and professional users.

1. Before you accept a quote

Submitting a dataset or custom-collection request costs nothing and creates no obligation. You can withdraw a request at any time before you accept a quote and make payment — there is nothing to refund.

2. Ready-made dataset licences (digital goods)

Dataset licences are digital products delivered electronically. Because a licence and download are made available immediately on payment, dataset fees are non-refundable once the download link has been issued or the data has been accessed/downloaded, except where the data is materially defective (see Section 4). By accepting a quote and requesting delivery, you ask us to begin supplying the digital content right away.

3. Custom data-collection engagements (made to order)

Custom collections are produced to your specification. Once collection work has commenced, the corresponding fees (including any deposit) are non-refundable, because the work is bespoke and cannot be resold. If you cancel before collection begins, we will refund amounts paid less any costs already reasonably incurred and any non-refundable deposit stated in your quote. 4. Defective or materially non-conforming data

If a delivered dataset is corrupted or materially fails to match the specification in your accepted quote, tell us within [e.g. 14] days of delivery. Our remedy, at our option, is to re-deliver, repair/replace the affected data, or provide a credit or refund for the affected portion.

5. Consumers in the EU / UK

Our services target businesses. If, exceptionally, you contract with us as a consumer in the EU/UK, you may have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. Note two exceptions that typically apply here: (a) the right does not apply to goods made to your specification (custom collections); and (b) for digital content supplied without a physical medium, the right is lost once supply has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal. We ask for that consent and acknowledgement before delivering a dataset. [Confirm the exact consumer-law position for the markets you sell to with a lawyer.]

6. How to request a cancellation or refund

Email contact@yoata.ai with your order number and details. We aim to respond within [e.g. 5 business] days. Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method or as otherwise agreed.
